Sri Lanka sets 234 runs goals against Nepal

Sri Lanka has set a target of 234 runs against Nepal in the opening game of the Men’s U-19 Asia Cup-2024, which got underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today.

Sri Lanka, asked to bat first after losing the toss, scored 233 runs in 50 overs and lost all their wickets in the game at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE.

Sharujan Shanmuganathan made a total of 62 runs while playing for Sri Lanka. He made 62 runs from 99 deliveries with two boundaries. Luckwin Awesinghe scored 50 runs, including one six and two fours, while batting for 53 balls. Both Dulnith Sigera and Vimath Dinsara scored a total of 24 runs each.

For Sri Lanka, Kavija Gamage scored 137 runs without being out. In a similar vein, Kugdas Mathulan, Pulindu Perera, Praveen Manisha, and captain Vihas Thewmika each scored two runs.

The Nepal team’s Santosh Yadav took four wickets. Hemant Dhami and Narine Saud both claimed one wicket, while Yuvraj Khatri claimed two.
