Trent Alexander-Arnold likely to be absent for Spurs clash due to thigh injury
Trent Alexander-Arnold might be unavailable for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg versus Tottenham on Thursday due to the injury he sustained at Bournemouth over the weekend, but the right-back is not expected to be out for a long time.
Alexander-Arnold experienced thigh discomfort in the second half of the 2-0 victory at the Vitality Stadium and was substituted in the 70th minute to prevent worsening the issue. Arne Slot acknowledged post-match that it was “not a good sign” when the 26-year-old requested to be substituted, but examinations have shown a minor problem that should keep him out for days instead of weeks.
Slot is probably not going to take any chances considering Liverpool’s chase for four titles. The head coach can use Conor Bradley to replace Alexander-Arnold

Danns, who entered into a long-term deal with Liverpool prior to the loan agreement, will not be ready for Sunderland right away because of a persistent back issue. The teenager will proceed with his recovery at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre before linking up with the promotion hopefuls at a later time.
“This is my initial loan transfer and an opportunity to demonstrate my abilities, so I’m truly thankful for the chance and appreciate the club for believing in me,” stated Danns. “I’m let down that I can’t do that immediately, but I feel proud to have joined the club, and I will put in effort during this time to make sure I can return to the field and contribute.”
