Nepali MMA fighter Yuki “The Gurkha” Angdembe will face China’s Buhuogubu “The Yi Eagle” in a bantamweight fight at JCK Fight Night 123 in Lüliang, Shanxi, China, on September 19. Angdembe, who has a professional record of 8 wins and 3 losses, enters the fight with two consecutive victories and will compete on the main card as he looks to continue building his international MMA career.

Who Is Yuki Angdembe?

Born in Damak, Nepal, and raised in the United Kingdom, Angdembe has built his fighting career across several countries.

Known inside the cage as “The Gurkha,” he trains at Soma Fight Club in Bali, Indonesia, where he has spent around five years developing his mixed martial arts skills.

Angdembe was also the fighter who introduced fellow Nepali MMA athlete Rabindra Dhant to Soma Fight Club, according to reports.

An 8-3 Professional Record

Angdembe enters Saturday’s fight with 8 victories and 3 defeats from 11 professional MMA bouts.

His eight victories include:

• 5 wins by KO/TKO

• 2 wins by submission

• 1 win by decision

This means seven of his eight professional victories have come by stoppage, showing his ability to finish fights through both striking and submissions.

Before turning professional in December 2021, Angdembe also built experience as an amateur fighter.

Two Straight Wins Heading Into China

Angdembe arrives at JCK Fight Night 123 with momentum after winning his previous two professional fights.

He defeated Indonesia’s Yacub Christ Nugroho at Soma Fight Series in February 2026.

Angdembe then faced India’s Mandeep “Baaghi” Prajapati at Matrix Fight Night 18 in Greater Noida, India, on May 2, 2026.

He defeated Prajapati by submission in the opening round, securing his second consecutive professional victory.

Who Is Buhuogubu ‘The Yi Eagle’?

Waiting for Angdembe in China is Buhuogubu, a Chinese bantamweight known as “The Yi Eagle.”

Buhuogubu enters the fight with a professional record of 10 wins and 7 losses.

His record includes six victories by KO/TKO and four by decision, meaning 60 percent of his professional wins have come through strikes.

He is also an experienced JCK fighter who will have the advantage of competing in his home country.

Buhuogubu Looking to End Losing Run

Although Buhuogubu has more professional fights than Angdembe, he enters Saturday’s contest after three consecutive defeats.

He lost to Jimuwusha by submission in September 2025, suffered a TKO defeat against Qubiguqian in January 2026, and most recently lost by TKO to Rui Chen in June.

Angdembe, meanwhile, enters the matchup after two straight victories.

A Major International Opportunity

JCK Fight Night 123 provides Angdembe with another opportunity to test himself against an experienced opponent on an international MMA stage.

His fight against Buhuogubu is listed as a bantamweight main-card matchup, with the event scheduled to take place at the JCK International Fighting Center in Lüliang, Shanxi.

A victory would extend Angdembe’s current professional winning streak to three fights and improve his record to 9-3.

Could Road to UFC Be in His Future?

Angdembe has not been officially announced for Road to UFC, but his coaches believe he has the potential to reach that stage.

Soma Fight Club head MMA coach Youssef Wehbe has described Angdembe as disciplined and dedicated and told the Kathmandu Post that he believes the Nepali fighter could potentially earn a place in a future season of Road to UFC.

The tournament provides Asian MMA fighters with an opportunity to compete toward earning a UFC contract.

For now, however, Angdembe’s confirmed challenge is Buhuogubu at JCK Fight Night 123.

Training Alongside Rabindra Dhant

Angdembe’s story is also closely connected with fellow Nepali MMA fighter Rabindra Dhant.

Both have trained at Soma Fight Club in Bali, with Angdembe having started MMA earlier. His coach has said that despite Dhant progressing further toward the UFC, Angdembe continues supporting and pushing him during training while improving his own game.

Angdembe has been praised for his wrestling, grappling and ability to find the right moments to attack with punches and kicks.

Angdembe has publicly expressed his readiness for the fight, sharing his excitement ahead of JCK Fight Night 123.

The September 19 matchup will give him another chance to build his name on the Asian MMA circuit while competing against an experienced Chinese opponent in China.

With an 8-3 record, seven stoppage victories and two consecutive wins, “The Gurkha” now heads into one of the next major tests of his professional career as he represents Nepal on the international MMA stage.
