Nepal has once again created history on the world’s highest peak as legendary climber Kami Rita Sherpa successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest for the 32nd time. According to PM Balen Shah, he reached the top at 10:12 AM, extending his own world record as the person with the highest number of Everest ascents in history. On the same day, Lakpa Sherpa, also known as the “Mountain Queen,” successfully completed her 11th Everest summit at 9:30 AM. A 25-year-old woman serving a life sentence escaped from Sundhara prison in Kathmandu late Friday night. The escaped inmate has been identified as Sapana Tamang from Bidur Municipality of Nuwakot. According to prison administrator Krishna Chapagain, she escaped around 1 AM after reportedly placing some objects on the ground and climbing over the prison wall.
