One Peak Away: Nims Purja Nears the End of His Most Ambitious Climbing Challenge

Nepali mountaineer Nirmal “Nims” Purja has completed his 57th successful climb of a mountain above 8,000 metres and is now reportedly one summit away from finishing his Hat-Trick Project. After completing Vinson Massif in Antarctica and Gasherbrum II in Pakistan, Purja must now climb Cho Oyu, on the Nepal–Tibet border, to complete a challenge built around endurance, repetition and high-altitude excellence.
