Class 12 Exams Begin Baisakh

KATHMANDU, August 20, 2026

Nepal’s National Examination Board (NEB) has published its annual work calendar for Grade 11 and Grade 12 examinations for the academic year 2083/84, setting the major dates for exam preparation, Class 12 board examinations, results and supplementary examinations. According to the official calendar, the Class 12 annual examination is scheduled to start in the first week of Baisakh 2084, giving students and schools an early timeline to prepare for the nationwide board examination.

Class 12 Board Exams From First Week Of Baisakh

The biggest update for Class 12 students is the examination period. NEB’s calendar places the start of the Class 12 annual examination in the first week of Baisakh 2084.

However, this is the broader annual calendar, not the final subject-wise routine. Students will still need to wait for NEB to publish the detailed schedule showing which subject will be examined on which date.

Detailed Exam Routine By Falgun 15

According to the calendar, NEB has scheduled the publication of the detailed Class 12 examination routine by Falgun 15, 2083.

Once published, the routine will give students the exact dates and order of their individual subject examinations. Until then, the first week of Baisakh remains the key period students should use while planning their preparation.

Exam Centres To Be Fixed By Chaitra 7

Another important step before the board examination is the selection of examination centres.

NEB’s calendar sets Chaitra 7, 2083 as the timeline for finalizing and publishing the Class 12 examination centres. Students will later receive information about where they have been assigned to sit for their examinations.

Practical And Internal Marks By Baisakh 7

Schools also have responsibilities to complete alongside the written examinations.

According to the calendar, practical and internal assessment marks are to be submitted by Baisakh 7, 2084. Schools and students should therefore keep track of practical examinations, internal assessments and related requirements alongside preparation for the main written exams.

Class 11 Exams To Follow Class 12

The calendar also provides a timeline for Grade 11.

According to NEB, Class 11 annual examinations are scheduled after the Class 12 examinations, with the examination process expected to be completed within Baisakh 2084.

This means Grade 11 and Grade 12 students will follow different examination schedules rather than sitting their annual examinations at the same time.

Class 12 Results Targeted For First Week Of Asar

NEB’s annual calendar does not stop with the examinations. It also lays out the planned timeline for checking answer sheets and publishing results.

The Class 12 results are targeted for publication in the first week of Asar 2084, according to the calendar.

The calendar places answer-sheet checking and related result-processing work in the weeks following the examination, with the aim of completing the process within the planned result timeline.

Supplementary Exams From First Week Of Shrawan

Students who become eligible for a supplementary or grade improvement examination will also have another opportunity shortly after the regular results.

NEB’s calendar schedules the Class 12 supplementary examination from the first week of Shrawan 2084.

The supplementary examination results are planned for publication by the last week of Shrawan 2084, completing the major Class 12 examination cycle outlined in the annual calendar.

What Should Class 12 Students Do Now?

The exact subject-wise routine is still to come, but students already have an important deadline to work toward: the first week of Baisakh 2084.

Instead of waiting for the final routine, students can start preparing now by making a realistic study schedule, revising regularly, practicing previous exam questions and spending more time on subjects they find difficult.

Students should also follow official NEB and school notices because dates in an annual calendar provide the planned timeline, while detailed notices and routines will provide the final examination arrangements.

Best Wishes To All Class 12 Students

With the broader examination timeline now available, students still have time to prepare steadily. A little progress every day can be much more effective than trying to study everything during the final weeks.

Best of luck to all Class 12 students preparing for the 2084 board examinations. Stay consistent, take care of yourself and trust the work you put into your preparation. Start early, study smart and give it your best.
