Prime Minister Balen Shah has decided not to deliver the main speech at the Republic Day special ceremony scheduled for Jestha 15 at Tundikhel. Instead, the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' Office has recommended that President Ramchandra Paudel give the official address at the event through a formal letter.

According to officials, the letter refers to Article 66 of the Constitution and requests the President to address the ceremony. This move is seen as a change from the usual practice where the Prime Minister delivers the main speech while the President attends the program.
