Three Days Later, Missing 2½-Year-Old Boy Rescued Safely From Nawalpur Forest

Nawalpur: A 2½-year-old boy who went missing inside a community forest in Nawalpur has been rescued alive after three days of search efforts, Nepal Police said.
Shivan Tamang, the grandson of Hema Kumari Ale of Bhagar, Gaindakot Municipality-14, had gone missing on the morning of Bhadra 2 after following his grandmother into the forest.
His grandmother had gone to Shankhadevi Community Forest to collect mushrooms when the child became separated from her and disappeared inside the forest.
Child Found After Three-Day Search
Police and local residents continued searching for the child after he went missing.
A search team involving personnel from the Area Police Office Gaindakot, Area Police Office Rajahar and Temporary Police Post Beldiya, along with local residents, found the boy at around 10 am on the third day.
The child was discovered at the upper area of Bhagar Khola inside Shankhadevi Community Forest in Gaindakot-14.
Child's Condition Reported as Normal
Police said the boy was rescued safely and subsequently handed over to his relatives.
According to police, the child had a minor scratch on his face, but his overall condition was reported to be normal.
