Five Arrested In Rautahat Case

Police have arrested five people, including four Indian citizens, over a rape allegation at a hotel in Gaur Municipality-2, Rautahat, after receiving information from the victim. A team from the District Police Office, Rautahat took the accused into custody at around 1:00 am on Asar 21, and police said legal action has begun because the case involves a serious sexual offence allegation.

Those arrested include 25-year-old Santosh Raut of Gaur Municipality-2, 33-year-old Md Tajuddin of Kalyani Panchayat-24 in Muzaffarpur, India, 37-year-old Jitendra Kumar of Mairowan Panchayat-2, 38-year-old Hasnain Alam of Bakatpur Panchayat-1, and 34-year-old Alok Kumar of Krama Panchayat-4.

Police said all five accused are now under investigation, and further legal procedures are moving forward. The case is being handled by the District Police Office, Rautahat.
