Government Employee Identified In Imadol Indecent Exposure Case

KATHMANDU, July 6 — Police have identified Surendra Bhatta of Baitadi, reportedly a government employee at the Education Development and Coordination Unit, as the suspect in an alleged indecent exposure case involving a young woman walking alone in Imadol, Lalitpur, on Sunday (July 5) evening.

The incident reportedly took place at around 6 p.m. when the woman was walking alone in the area. A video shared widely on TikTok shows the woman confronting a man after he allegedly exposed his private parts to her.

Police launched an investigation after the video went viral on social media and drew strong public attention. Authorities are reviewing the footage and collecting evidence as part of the investigation.

The case has raised fresh concerns about the safety of women in public spaces, especially in urban areas where women continue to face harassment while walking alone.

Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them. The investigation is ongoing.
