Norvic International Hospital generated more than Rs 2.04 billion in revenue during the first nine months of the last fiscal year, supported by rising patient numbers, healthy operating margins, and stronger cash reserves. As the hospital strengthens its finances through debt reduction and fresh equity investment, it is also completing a Rs 3.32 billion expansion that will increase its capacity from 116 to 275 beds, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2027.
Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali recorded revenue of Rs 2.04 arba in the first nine months of the previous fiscal year. The performance was supported by higher patient traffic, improved service delivery, and rising demand for private medical care.
Patient Numbers Support Earnings
During the reporting period, the hospital provided outpatient services to 127,473 people and admitted 6,594 patients. This steady movement of patients helped Norvic maintain strong business activity and increase income from its medical services.
Hospital Improves Operational Performance
Norvic reported an operating margin of 27%, showing that the hospital was able to manage expenses while maintaining healthy earnings. Its internal cash reserves also reached Rs 47.1 crore, giving the institution greater financial flexibility for regular operations and future investment.
Debt Position Becomes More Stable
The hospital received an additional equity investment of Rs 19.44 crore and repaid Rs 13.1 crore in debt earlier than scheduled. These steps helped improve its interest coverage ratio to 10.90 times, while the gearing ratio stood at 1.17 times, indicating a more manageable debt position.
Capacity Set To More Than Double
Norvic is completing a large-scale expansion project valued at Rs 3.32 arba. Once finished, the development will increase the hospital’s capacity from 116 beds to 275 beds, adding 159 new beds to its existing facilities.
New Facilities Expected In 2027
The expanded hospital infrastructure is expected to begin commercial operations in 2027. The additional space and services are likely to allow Norvic to receive more patients, introduce further specialised treatment facilities and strengthen its presence in Nepal’s private healthcare sector.
