Nepal Announces 280 Drinking Water Projects and Nationwide Water Testing Plan

The Government of Nepal has announced several drinking water initiatives under Budget 2083/84. Plans include deep boring projects and completion of 280 drinking water schemes in the Tarai-Madhesh region, new water supply projects in Damak, Dharan, and Itahari, a nationwide water quality testing program, and the launch of wastewater treatment projects.
