Nepal to Add 1,040 MW of Clean Energy, Total Capacity to Reach 5,535 MW

The Government of Nepal has announced plans to add 1,040 MW of clean energy capacity under Budget 2083/84. This includes 670 MW from hydropower projects and 370 MW from solar energy. With these additions, Nepal’s total installed electricity generation capacity is expected to reach 5,535 MW, further strengthening the country’s renewable energy sector.
