Full Speech Of Prime Minister Balen Shah

Distinguished guests present at this graduation ceremony of the Police Inspector Basic Training, other guests, parents and family members, newly graduated police inspectors, members of the media, and everyone present, greetings to you all.

The police inspectors participating in this ceremony are now entering their respective fields after completing 16 months of basic training. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for your success. I would also like to express my special gratitude to the respected parents and family members who continuously encouraged their sons and daughters to join this challenging profession.

I believe that the police inspectors graduating today have fully acquired the knowledge and skills required to carry out the responsibilities of a police inspector through this training. I expect that you will now be fully capable of putting this knowledge and these skills into practice.

The first standard of professional success in any profession is ethics, integrity, and honesty. Along with this, maintaining professional conduct and discipline and properly following and enforcing the Constitution, existing laws, rules, procedures, and standards also help an individual achieve professional success. Accountability towards one’s responsibilities is equally important. These principles apply to everyone serving in the police force.

Information technology helps make your work faster, more efficient and more transparent. With changing times, the forms and patterns of crime have also changed. It is necessary to make proper use of information and technology for impartial, factual, scientific and evidence-based crime investigation. The entire police organisation, its leadership and trainers also have an important role in this. The government remains fully committed to providing the resources required for such investigations and fulfilling its responsibilities towards you.

Finally, I wish the police officers graduating today success in their duties. I express my special gratitude to the parents. I also thank the National Police Training Academy for organising this ceremony. [source: PMO]
