Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s secretariat has reportedly called Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Raju Pandey and cautioned him following a dispute involving a Nepal Army captain.
According to sources, Pandey was asked to appear at the Prime Minister’s Office, where officials from the secretariat instructed him not to create disputes by taking the Prime Minister’s name.
Dispute During Gokarna Forest Wall Demolition
The warning came after an argument between Pandey and Nepal Army Captain Anupman Shrestha during an attempt to use a bulldozer at a wall located inside Gokarna Forest.
Sources said the Prime Minister’s secretariat was not satisfied with Pandey’s conduct during the incident.
The matter gained attention after reports emerged of a confrontation between the lawmaker and the Army officer.
Pandey Issues Clarification
Following the secretariat’s instruction, Pandey reportedly released a clarification statement regarding the incident.
In his statement, Pandey claimed that the bulldozer operation was carried out in coordination with the Nepal Army.
He stated that there was no attempt to act against the Army and that the process was conducted through proper coordination.
PM Secretariat Clarifies Position
The reported warning highlights the government’s concern over disputes involving state institutions and the use of the Prime Minister’s name in public matters.
The Prime Minister’s Office has not officially released a detailed statement regarding the meeting.
