Protests continued in Bara on Thursday over the killing of three year old Garima Chaudhary, with her family and local residents blocking the Pathlaiya Birgunj road and demanding justice and strict legal action against those involved in the case.

Garima, a resident of Dasdhure in Ward 1 of Jitpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City, had been missing since July 16. According to police, the investigation later found that the three year old girl was killed on the same day she went missing.

The case has caused anger among local residents, who have been protesting since Wednesday morning. Protesters blocked the Pathlaiya Birgunj road by burning tyres and gathering on the road, demanding that authorities ensure justice for Garima and take strong action against those responsible for her killing.

Road Blockade Continues

The protest continued on Thursday, with the important Pathlaiya Birgunj road remaining blocked. The road is a major route connecting Birgunj with Pathlaiya and other parts of the country.

Due to the blockade, hundreds of vehicles have been unable to continue their journeys. Many passengers have also been left stranded as protesters continue to occupy the road.

Garima's family and local residents have said their protest is focused on securing justice for the child. They are demanding strict punishment under the law for everyone found responsible for the killing.

Two People Arrested

Police have arrested two people in connection with Garima's death.

According to police, one of the accused has given a statement to investigators admitting to killing the child. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case and the circumstances surrounding her death.

Police said Garima had been missing since July 16 and that the investigation found she was killed on the same day.

Family And Locals Demand Justice

The killing of the three year old has led to continued protests in the local community. Garima's family and residents have been gathering on the road since Wednesday morning, calling on authorities to take the case seriously and ensure those responsible face legal action.
