Kathmandu Launches App To Report Road Problems
The Road Division Kathmandu launched the ‘Sadak Sujhab’ mobile application on September 17, 2026, in Kathmandu to allow citizens to directly report road problems to authorities. The app was introduced to help the public report issues such as potholes, damaged roads, waterlogging, traffic safety concerns and other road construction-related problems with photographs and location details.
The division briefed lawmakers elected from all 10 constituencies of Kathmandu district about the new platform during a programme held before its formal launch.
Citizens Can Submit Road Complaints With Photos
The new application allows users to upload photographs of road problems along with information about the type of issue, its severity and nearby landmarks. The reported location can be identified through GIS mapping, while users can also manually search and provide an address if needed.
After submitting a complaint, the app generates a reference number, allowing users to track the status of their reported problem.
Reports Will Be Reviewed Based On Priority
According to Road Division Kathmandu Chief Subodh Kumar Devkota, complaints received through the app will be assessed based on the nature, seriousness and priority of the problems.
After evaluation, necessary repair and management work will be carried out according to the urgency of each reported issue.
How To Use The Road Suggestion App
Citizens can download the ‘Road Suggestion’ app from the Play Store or App Store and select the “Report a Problem” option from the home screen.
Users can then:
Upload a photo of the road problem
Select the location
Choose the type of issue
Mention the severity level
Add nearby landmarks
Submit the complaint
The app will provide a reference number after successful submission.
Part Of Kathmandu’s Road Repair Efforts
The Road Division Kathmandu has also mobilized Road Pothole Repair Ambulances to quickly repair potholes across the Kathmandu Valley.
Officials said the new application is designed not only to collect public complaints but also to support solutions through the same platform by helping authorities understand road issues reported by citizens.
Expansion Planned To Lalitpur And Bhaktapur
The Road Division Kathmandu said the system will gradually be expanded to include Lalitpur and Bhaktapur as well.
The initiative aims to create a wider public reporting system where road users can directly share problems and help authorities identify areas needing attention.
